About this trip idea

Looking to have some fun on a quick weekend getaway? Rain or shine, summer or winter – Antique Alley is always open and waiting for you in Richmond and Centerville.

Indiana’s Antique Alley
Famous Antique Alley offers Indiana’s most diverse antique destinations. Two different trails, maps available at the Richmond/Wayne County Visitors Center, will guide you along Eastern Indiana’s highways and byways to over 900 individual shops, dealers and malls. Trail 1, from Richmond west to Knightstown, is the perfect way to explore the Historic National Road (U.S. 40) and then circles back to Richmond on picturesque SR 38. Trail 2 takes you north out of Richmond along US 27 to Portland.

Historic Centerville
The hub of Antique Alley Trail 1 is Historic Centerville, home to Webb’s Antique Mall  , Indiana’s largest destination for antique shoppers. With 85,000 square feet of antiques at your disposal, you’ll wile away hours browsing and hunting for that special something. Once you’ve found it, spoil yourselves at the Historic Lantz House just down the road on historic U.S. 40. This small bed and breakfast has a lot to offer – 19th century brick buildings, historically decorated living spaces and playful gardens that will charm you. But it doesn’t lack modern conveniences - each of the five bedrooms offers a private bath and air-conditioning. And the breakfast is scrumptious, too!

Historic Richmond Depot District
In the 19th century, Richmond was an up-and-coming rail gateway to the West. Now, it’s a charming, quaint town with historic neighborhoods reflective of its past. One of its better-known neighborhoods is the Historic Richmond Depot District . The district has transformed through the years into a trendy shopping destination with one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants. A perfect example is the Ghyslain Richmond Bistro located at the Loft. This full-service bistro serves a delightful lunch and dinner, but dessert is the real show stopper here! Owner and chef, Ghyslain Maurais, is certified in French pastry, chocolate décor, candy making, blown/pulled sugar and bread making. Sample his fabulous pastries, homemade gelato and masterpiece gourmet chocolates. They’re almost too pretty to eat…almost!
