Unique art in Zionsville
Meet the creators of original works in Art IN Hand Gallery . More than 20 artists own, operate and staff the gallery with their wares including jewelry, watercolors, wood sculptures, pottery and photography. Down the bricked main street in The Sanctuary , you’ll be awed by 40 years’ worth of ethereal works of famed local artist Nancy Noël. Among items for sale are prints, books and note cards. Enjoy lunch onsite in Ghyslain at The Sanctuary, offering a full lunch menu featuring their divine chocolates and pastries for dessert.
100% grass-fed milk makes a difference
There’s only one place in the U.S. where you can get 100% grass-fed milk in a bottle and that’s Traders Point Creamery . This family-owned artisan dairy believes we should “nourish the land that nourishes us all.” Tour the farm to better understand why the organic production method is better for both the land and nutrition. On this self-guided tour, visit calves and chickens, walk the 1.3-mile trail through the pasture where the Swiss Brown cows graze, check out the milking parlor, and watch how they bottle the milk in the production area.
The Loft, their authentic farm-to-table restaurant, is open for lunch and dinner plus Sunday brunch and features live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays. Delicious entrees include their creamery and beef products as well as salads, wraps and seafood. Enjoy a cone or shake made with their homemade ice cream or yogurt in the Dairy Bar. Their yogurt was voted America’s #1 yogurt by the American Cheese Society. And speaking of cheese, don’t miss the big selection of artisan cheeses produced on-site. Try their newest original fine cheese: Fleur de la Terre. French for “blossom from our land,” the cheese has a mild and buttery flavor with a tangy after bite.
For fresh produce and other products, visit on Friday nights (May-Oct) and Saturday mornings (Nov-Apr) for The Green Market, Traders Point’s popular farmers market. Open only to local vendors who use sustainable practices, you can be sure you’re buying true organic products that are healthy for you and the Earth.
There’s also a kids’ Summer Farm Camp, where they can work with the animals, hike through pastures, make crafts and food, and learn all about living sustainably.
