A few weekends ago, my family enjoyed a camping weekend at Clifty Falls State Park in Madison, Indiana. What a great getaway in such a beautiful area of Indiana. Here’s a bit about how my family spent our time there:
Clifty Falls is one of the most scenic parks you’ll find. Lots of challenging, yet manageable hiking trails, most of which include lookout points over the cliffs with cascading waterfalls. Even in the dry summer months, when the falls are more of a trickle, there is still so much nature to enjoy here. And you can cool off in the outdoor pool after all that activity.
If spending a lot of time in the great outdoors isn’t your thing, you’ll love Madison, a town nestled right along the Ohio River. There are many independent shops, unique restaurants, and gorgeous historic homes which fill the easily-walkable downtown area.
Even after spending just two days in the area, my husband and I both agreed that it felt like we had taken a really long and wonderful vacation.
